Graffiti Stencils
Graffiti stencils??? Seems to me that if you are going to take the time to do it, shouldn’t you be able to do it without a drawing aid? Ironically such stencils are a popular item purchased in today’s market. However, they are marketed as an art tool rather than a defacing tool. There is even a tutorial video available online at no cost, showing you exactly how the process works.
While not everyone who purchases graffiti stencils plans to use them for defacing property, many individuals due. There are legitimate uses for such stencils including redoing bedrooms, designing a childcare center, or designing a mural.
Many graffiti stencils are very unique. Most are of pop culture icons and reflections of teenage culture. Graffiti stencils work by using paper or cardboard to create an image to reproduce. The image is transferred by using spray paint or roll on paint. Multiple stencils can be used to create shading or depth. The stencil can then be quickly applied to a wall or other flat surface.
Graffiti stencils are used as a method of expression. Unfortunately, they are often used on other people’s property. Why? Sometimes it is to make a political statement. It may be for publicity, as there will be a group of individuals who are aware of who completed the art.
Graffiti stencils offer an incentive for taggers to participate in a new way. They now have an easier method for producing their art in a very fast way. The sell of such stencils is controversial. On the one hand, they are a valuable tool when used correctly. Unfortunately, they can also create a lot of damage by those who choose to use them on property that does not belong to them.
