The Eternal Elegance Of Japanese Tattoos

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Japanese letters are works of ancient art in ink and paper. They take years to learn and even longer to master, just like with any other art field. They elegantly dance into view like stalks of grass bending to the wind. They are a popular choice for Westerners who want a discrete, beautiful tattoo that won’t change much over the years and is relatively quick for the artist to draw on. Some Japanese tattoos of calligraphy based on powerful words or your name can also be the most economical tattoo choices in terms of money and pain spent.

Getting Small Tattoos

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

In American society there are things that are deemed acceptable and things that are frowned upon. Most people know the so called rules and abide by them most of the time. There will always be rebels in the system who want to do things in their own way. And most other good people want to be bad if even for a minute or two. One of the ways that some people can stand against the machine is by getting small tattoos where they can be hidden most of the time. When women who have a tattoo want to go out on the town they might have a tattoo on the small of their back that is partially visible to others. It’s a way to be bad or to be different when the woman wants to. The rest of the week women can look and be professional without anybody else even knowing about the small tattoo.

Dragonfly Tattoos For Women

Monday, June 18th, 2007

There was a time when tattoos were almost always for men. If a woman had tattoos they were either biker girls or convicts with prison tattoos. They were looked down at because women just didn’t do things like that. In the nineties, tattoos once again became popular and new tattoo shops opened up everywhere. Once it became popular with young people it was just a matter of time before women would once again have tattoos. Girls would get a tattoo during spring break. They would get a tattoo for many different reasons. Generally speaking, most tattoos that women get are not large and are usually located where others can’t see it. This is done partly because it’s sexy and partly because they don’t want to look like a circus clown.

Why Scorpion Tattoos

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

If someone would stop for around one week and ask everyone they saw about their tattoos, the reasons would almost be as different as the people themselves are. Some tattoos are to show others, some are to remember others. Other tattoos are a symbol of the person themselves and what their life means. For those people who have a tattoo that symbolizes their life and what they stand for, the tattoo is an extension of their body. There is no limit to what a tattoo artist can do. Whatever one wants, they can do it. No two tattoos are completely the same in just the same way that two snowflakes are ever the same.

Belonging With A Gang Tattoo

Monday, June 11th, 2007

For the young kids who grow up in poor crime ridden neighborhoods, joining a gang isn’t really an option. Kids join to belong and for safety. This is ironic because belonging to a gang does not make people safer in any way. In fact, many of the people end up in prison or six feet under the turf. One of the affiliation marks that members have is the gang tattoos. Gang tattoos are usually done in a way that other people involved in gangs would immediately notice. It’s kind of like a name tag for ushers at church or people at stores for others to approach. It is meant to be different yet the same to their own kind.
