Many times common words are a problem for translation because if they have several meanings in the original language it may be very difficult for translators to tell which words should be used in the translated-to language. This, obviously, lend to translation error or ambiguity.

Then there are many ‘untranslatable’ word and sayings in many languages where finding an equivalent in another language is at least difficult if not the target of intense debate as to how best translate the word or phrase in question.

There are many ways that you can go as far as finding the appropriate translator for a good amount of money for a good rate, but you certainly need to look through all your local resources before you have any understanding of what it is that you require most fully, though there is no reason why a cost effective translator cannot be found by a determined individual or company who requires such services. Though a trustworthy employee can be just as good a substitute as hiring a particularly professional translator to the necessary specifications, and that will understand what you need done, you must observe caution when deciding on this option.

However you choose to bring a Spanish translation into being for your commercial needs, or for whatever need you have for a translator, you need to make sure that they have both a good background and understanding for English and Spanish languages. Otherwise, you may need to turn to some of the various online services that are available over the Internet, or even just contacting the appropriate sources to finding the best translator to approach your material may be the best option to choose. The next result in my Google search for French translation was for a website called FreeTranslation.com. I actually use this site frequently. I get emails sometimes that are in a language I don’t speak and I use their free translation tool to figure out what the person emailing me wants to say.

The FreeTranslation.com website offers more than just French translation. They also offer translation in Portuguese, Russian and many other languages. I like their tool a lot, it is very simple to use.

The third result with my Google search for French translation sent me to a dead link. Apparently the AppliedLanguage.com website no longer works. The short description on Google said that this French Translation services company offers high quality professional French Translation at excellent prices.

The next result for French translation was for the website Systransoft.com. They offer a translation tool for a PDA that costs only $69. The main page of their website has two options for French translation. They offer a place to translate up to 150 words and another place where you can input a URL for an entire webpage to be translated.

The fifth result in my Google search for French translation landed me at Syvum.com. This website was extremely cool and offers online education for over 180 different countries. I have bookmarked this site and hope to return many times. The Syvum.com that I visited was in the English language, but there were links to their site in French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Michiko Sharp lives in the United States and is listed as a translator on translatorbase.com. The rate for Japanese translation is fifteen cents per word for Japanese translation of English and twenty five cents per word for a Japanese translation of Spanish. Michiko Sharp has been a translator since September of 1989.

There are many websites that will give you the ability to write or paste what you wish to say in the native language and then to allow you to click on a specific language other than the one you wrote in, to create visually the words you wish to represent in a new way through a different way of speaking and communicating, but be sure to do your research before you jump right into finding the right translation for your purposes. There are many search engines that will give you a good place to start, but you need to be aware of what kinds will really make the difference to you, as comparing between the search engines can lead to the best options.

Many websites will provide you with free sampling to see how good their services really are for yourself, but after the initial introduction to their abilities online, they will charge you a predisposed amount to professionally translate your manuscripts or text that you find necessary to put through such processes to accomplish whatever end goal that you have in mind. The first result in my Google Directory for Employment search for German translation employment was for a website called translatorsbase.com. This is an online registry of translators and translation agencies.

There is a very cool advanced registry search on the translatorbase.com website. I looked for native German speakers for German translation into United States English. You are able to designate an area of expertise and I left the default of ‘All’ and chose the United States as the country of my search.

What came up were 189 different translators that could all conduct a German translation. I went back to the advanced search criteria and narrowed my search to include only religion as the area of expertise. Twenty one different translators came up in this search.

The top result for German translation was for an agency called Professional Translations that was founded in 1981. They have a five-star rating. The second search result was for a freelancer named C. Berg. She also had a five-star rating and a popularity of 53. I don’t really know what the popularity number means.

My father-in-law is a German professor. There aren’t very many German majors at the institution he teaches at. I knew one of the German majors a few years ago that got a job the summer after graduation doing German translation at the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon in the United States is a popular tourist destination for German tourists and they hire people for German translation because there is an actual need for this service. This is a great summer job for someone in college or just out of college.

The next website that I found when I did a Google search for Chinese translation was at Formosa-Translation.com. This was a very interesting site. The site offers free Chinese clip-art symbols collection for tattoos, art designs and deco work.

I looked for the Chinese translation of my daughter’s name and found it. The three symbols were really very pretty. I also found symbols for my name and my husband’s name. My stepson’s name did not have a Chinese translation into symbols.

The main page of the Formosa-Translation.com website was full of all kinds of topics for Chinese translation. The Chinese language is so pretty. Even some of the oddest words or ideas translated into Chinese look nice.

This website would be a fantastic resource for a tattoo artist. There is a large interest in Chinese translation for various words and concepts to be tattooed on people. The Chinese translation for the word flirt is very pretty and I can envision someone wanting this as a tattoo.

I personally really liked the Chinese translation for the term mommy. I would love a tattoo that had those symbols. I can see myself with Chinese character tattoos easier than I can envision a butterfly or a rose tattoo. I don’t know if I could withstand the pain of a tattoo.

I can also see myself with a Buddhist motto tattooed on myself. The Chinese translation of the motto everything visible is empty looks very nice. I have always wanted a tattoo, but I can’t decide what I want and where I want it placed. I may never figure this out.

There was a large portion of the Google translation tool website that will set the Google homepage to your specified language. I looked through the languages offered and found Elmer Fudd. I used this language to search for Google translation and found it to be very funny.

The Google translation of their I’m Feeling Lucky button was I’m Feewing Wucky. The Google homepage was funny with the Elmer Fudd Google translation of everything. Instead of Language Tools, there were Wanguage Toows and instead of Preferences, there were Pweferwences. This was very odd and tells me that someone at Google has a sense of humor.

The Google translation website also offered links to Google site in local domains around the world. It was truly impressive how many different countries have a local Google. There were a lot of places I have never heard of before. I think that Google has everything covered from Antiqua to Zambia.

I found another funny Google translation. If you want to have Klingon as your preferred language, you can. I do not understand Klingon at all. I think that it is funny that there is a Klingon Language Institute. I cannot believe that people actually speak and understand this language.

I found another interesting website from my Dogpile search results for Google translation. I found the website DonationCoder.com for software connoisseurs. Their Google Translator Boomerang is a program that uses the Google Translation engine to translate your English text to foreign languages and then back again into English, for some amusing results.

The DonationCoder.com website says that you can use the Google Translation tool Google Translator Boomerang e it to generate zen poetry or examine how well the translation of your text really matches with your intentions. I was surprised to learn how my words may come across in other languages.

It is interesting to learn about English translated into other languages, as there are often many different possible outputs from the original English. English is full of odd adjective combinations that can come out pretty funny sounding in many other languages.

Sometimes it is humor that is most lost in translation. After all, humor is the sudden mixture or juxtaposition of opposite and seemingly non-mixable items. The new combination or info makes us laugh for the moment that we put the two together. So it’s no wonder that there are as many different ways to express humor as there are word combinations in the various languages.
