Elementary school teachers have to be everything to everybody. They act as surrogate mothers, nurses, counselors, babysitters, and, yes, teachers. In education elementary school teachers are considered the hardest working people in education. They rarely have minute for themselves. What Kind of Questions to Ask in a Job Interview

Yes, you need to be prepared to ask questions of your job interviewer. The questions should be incisive and show that you have an understanding of the company. Interviewers learn a good deal of information from the questions you ask so plan some out ahead of time before the interview. Practice your answers so that you are completely confident. Don’t act practiced. Wait at least a minute before you ask your first question and this first question should not be about your salary.

Interview Tips for a Teaching Job

One of the greatest fallacies in the world is that anyone can teach. That is wrong on so many levels. With thirty-six years of teaching behind me, I think I have seen everything from teachers who are appalled at how hard teaching can be to teachers who live their lives for their students. They work harder than anyone so that their students can excel. Most principals and department heads use the interview process to weed out the rejects.
