Unique Wedding Event Planner
All weddings are unique; some just more than others. For the unique wedding event planner, every wedding is a challenge. No cookie cutter weddings for her. She specializes in helping to create weddings that are so out of the box that other wedding event planners would shudder and say, ëI don’t.’
The unique wedding event planner loves a challenge; she sees every wedding as an opportunity to create new traditions. One very out of the box wedding is the Goth wedding. This wedding features unusual colors, flowers, decorations, and guests. Although the colors are usually black, white, and red, the flowers will be used in ways that are unusual. The venue might really create some nightmares and I mean literal nightmares. Some Goth weddings are held at historical cemeteries. The wedding party walks down an aisle between headstones. The bride, although usually dressed in black, might wear a white nightdress or even a historical gown. The groom will more than likely wear as much make-up as the bride. The guests will be dressed in unique ways also. The unique wedding planner does what every wedding planner does; she rolls with the punches and makes the plans. The only plan she has is to make the bride and groom have the best day of their lives even if she is horror struck with the ceremony.
Another unique idea is a multicultural wedding. These unique weddings have two ceremonies - one American and an ethnic ceremony. Some ethnic ceremonies take place over several days such as an Indian wedding. The wedding event planner must work with each family member to make sure that everyone is happy and their traditions are upheld. If there are two ceremonies in one day, scheduling is crucial. Keeping everyone on time is of the essence. Catering to everyone’s dietary expectations is also important because the last thing the planner wants is for someone to be offered food that goes against their religion. Pulling together a multicultural wedding is an art. Some wedding planner companies specialize in Indian or Muslim ceremonies. Otherwise, the wedding planner had better do her homework.
Another unique wedding is the mountaintop wedding. Couples who love to ski often choose a mountaintop wedding destination. The wedding planner has to work with snow, wind, and the gondolas that take everyone up the mountain. All the decorations have to be taken up the mountain along with hordes of bridal party members and guests. The unique wedding event planner always has to have a plan B when weather is a component. As we all know, we cannot control the weather so plan B is a necessity. Generally, a ski resort will have a lovely lodge area that can be decorated much like the mountain destination. The wedding planner’s main objective is to give the bride and groom the wedding of their dreams. When this dream is not possible, her new job is to sell plan B. She has to console the bride and her mother and anyone else who was really invested in the mountaintop wedding. Bad weather is every wedding planner’s nightmare, but life goes on and so does the wedding. Using her creative skills, she can make that lodge room appear to be a winter wonderland so everyone will be happy. Besides it’s the marriage that is really important. The blending of two people in marriage is much more important than getting married on top of a glorious mountain. It’s a tough sale, but for the unique wedding event planner, it’s just another tool of the trade.
