Adult Diapers

Adult diapers are used for those who have become incontinent; they have lost the ability to control their bladder or their bowel movements. Often, it is the elderly who require such products, but sometimes young adults with medical problems or disabilities need them as well. Sometimes pregnant women need to use adult diapers because of how the baby is laying, they can’t tell if they need to urinate or not.

Cloth Diapers

Cloth diapers were the main type of diaper in use until 1960, when disposable diapers became affordable for most people to purchase. Early cloth diapers were big and bulky. Babies often wore the same diaper for several days. As awareness of hygiene improved, so did the cleanliness of them. Before washing machines, cloth diapers had to be scrubbed clean by hand.

Diaper Rash

Diaper rash is the result of the skin being irritated. It can be caused by a reaction to the diapers being used, being left in a wet diaper too long, or a reaction to the laundry soap used on cloth diapers. Some research indicates consuming juice can lead to a diaper rash as well because it increases acid levels in the urine.
