Baby Cereal

Cereal is such a big part of our culture that there are different products for different situations. Baby cereal is an example of this. There are different kinds of cereals that are available - cold cereal and hot cereal. One thing that baby cereal has in common regardless of whether or not the cereal is hot or cold is that it has to be soft in texture. Hard cereals will not work for a baby because they don’t have any teeth.

Breakfast Cereal

Breakfast cereal is probably one of the most popular breakfast foods in certain parts of the world. It certainly is in the United States. One look at the vast cereal aisle reveals a host of choices ranging from the extremely healthy to the very sugary options that are actually more like desserts than nutritious breakfasts. When it comes to breakfast, that is what a lot of people call ‘the most important meal of the day’. When you sleep, your body does not get fuel for eight hours. When you wake up, you need something that will ‘break the fast’ which is how the word got its original name.

Cereal

There are two definitions to the word ‘cereal’. When some people call things ‘cereals’ they just mean that they are grains such as rice or wheat. But in fairly recent years, the word has taken on a more specific meaning. Now we understand cereal to be that cold breakfast food that you put in a bowl and add milk to. The first cereals were pretty basic. But the concept was revolutionary. Those basic cereals have come a long way. Now they are made from a variety of different grains, come in several different shapes, and have a host of flavors.

Cereal bars are a popular breakfast alternative to the standard crunchy cereal that you pour milk over. They come in a variety of different flavors and are made from different materials. Cereal companies are starting to catch on by making cereal bars with their most popular cereal products. This means that when consumers set out to buy breakfast foods they have an option that is mirrored after their favorite cereal, just in bar form.

Hot Cereals

Hot cereals are an excellent alternative to the traditional cold cereal and milk breakfast. They come in different forms such as grits, oatmeal, and cream of wheat. There are also some other hot cereal options. Some of them are grain mixes put together by manufacturers. Others are simple cereals such as kashi or oatmeal. Either way, the hot cereals that you choose are common in that they are a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
