In the last couple of years the topic of humane lobster consumption has come under focus by consumers as well as animal rights organizations. A number of studies with the sole intent of discovering whether or not lobsters can ‘feel pain’ have been undertaken with mixed results.

Red Lobster Restaurants: A Company Overview

The Red Lobster company was founded by Bill Darden in 1968. At the tender age of 19 Darden was seeking to explore and develop his entrepreneurial skills and apparently go things right the first time around. Growing on the success of his first Red Lobster restaurant located in Lakeland, Florida. Interestingly this fist restaurant was not called Red Lobster, but went by a completely different color name: The Green Frog. It was soon decided that the seafood themed restaurant would do better to have an appropriately seafood themed name. Red Lobster was an established seafood restaurant chain by the 1970s.

Our Favorite Lobster Tails

Maine Lobster: An Anatomy Lesson

Main Lobster is used interchangeable with the terms ‘American lobster’ and ‘northern lobster’. These terms are used to refer to any lobsters living in the shallow , cold waters of rocky areas or other places in which lobsters can hide from predator creatures, as they are nocturnal and quite solitary creatures themselves.

Choosing Between Lobster Restaurants

If you’re feeling the need to get your regular lobster fix but don’t know where to go, there are a few options when it comes to chain lobster restaurants. Of course if you live near the coast your best bet is to go to any of the smaller local seafood restaurants, as these are likely to have excellent and very fresh lobster at a reasonable price. If you live somewhere along the Pacific or Atlantic coasts of North America chances are you have access to some of the freshest seafood imaginable.

Search For A Lobster Trap On Ebay

If you look for a lobster trap on eBay, you’ll find a lot of different kinds of items. It is actually quite surprising

The first item that came up in a lobster trap search on eBay was a piece of jewelry. I thought that it was a little bit odd to buy a sterling silver charm the looked like a lobster trap to put on a bracelet. I suppose that this would be a very nice charm for a girl that grew up in an area with a lot of lobster fishing.
