Success of the First Halo 3 Commercial

Halo 3 itself is already successful so it is no surprise how successful the commercial has turned out to be. Watched by breathless fans for that too quick minute when it aired, it has since been transported to countless websites and watched over and over and over again. It was a mix of CG and live action that leaves fans wondering if the movie is not just a dream.

Fans everywhere immediately began questioning what was really happening in the Halo 3 commercial. It only made the anticipation for the game even more unbearable for so many people especially considering the long wait between the first commercial and the actual release date of the game.

The commercial for Halo 3 is a credit to Microsoft and Bungie in its success in turning even the most hardened fan into a whimpering mess and ensuring that the sales of the game have reached a magnitude that nobody even considered when the first game in the trilogy was released to so much skeptism.

The interest in Halo 3 is growing at an unbelievable rate due to the commercials, trailers, promotions, posters and whatever other tidbits that Microsoft is sharing with the fans. The commercial for Halo 3 was not enough for the fans; they had to download the trailers, sign up for the tournament, buy Crackdown to experience the Beta mode and pre book the game as soon as they could. Even though the first commercial for Halo 3 does not represent actual game play and leaves more questions than answers, it definitely keeps every fan’s mind on track that finally, Halo 3 is on its way.

The Idea behind the Halo 3 Commercial

The first Halo 3 commercial to be shown on television was a mere sixty seconds long but it proved to keep the hype rolling along nicely. A quick teaser that did not satisfy the many Halo fans but instead left them panting for more. The idea behind the Halo 3 commercial was not to give anything away but instead to tantalize the fans into submission.

This taster certainly added to the millions of pre bookings for Halo 3 but it wasn’t exactly necessary. Millions of diehard Halo 3 fans would buy the game if they never saw a commercial or promotion for it. Although the commercial for Halo 3 certainly keeps everyone’s interest in the right direction.
