Bio Androids
A bio android is a variation of an android. The difference is that they are made from protein based components similar to humans instead of a mixture of electronics and mechanics. Of course bio androids aren’t real, they exist as characters in science fiction novels and movies.
The roles that bio androids can take on in such films though is amazing. In some of the films they are on Earth disguised humans so that they can destroy it. In other scenarios they are trying to prevent other bio androids from taking over the world. The only way to do this is to incorporate the assistance of real humans.
In many films bio androids take on very human capabilities. It is hard to remember that they are part robot in some parts of the film. They have human emotions and a sense of reasoning. Yet they are able to compute information in a way that humans can’t. If you have never watched a film that portrays bio androids you should take the time to do so. It is quite a new dimension in the world of science fiction.
The concept is great but there is no way that research and development would be able to go that far. There are ethical boundaries associated with such realistic developments that should not be crossed. The concept of bio androids does make a good story though.
Since there is no probability of bio androids really being invented at this point in our society people are generally more at ease with the concept than with other forms of robotics. Many individuals are uneasy with artificial intelligence mixed with robots.
The Japanese have developed the concept of bio androids into a very popular animated series. The show Pokemon involves various monsters that have different components to them that make them bio androids. They are also a main character in the show Outlaw Star
There are also several great video games that involve bio androids. In most scenarios you are fighting to stop bio androids from taking over the Earth or destroying some other type of concept.
