Most of us live such hectic lives that we have to write everything down on the calendar to make sure we don’t forget something. They definitely help keep us organized both at home and at work. Calendars in the office can help schedule appointments and meetings. They can also be used to mange your time by knowing when you will be available to work on various projects.
Home calendars can help keep the activities of everyone well organized. It helps if you use a different color of pen or marker for each family member. This way they can quickly identify what activities are for them. If you have a large family you may need to get one with plenty of room for writing things down.
Pocket calendars that can fit into a purse or glove box are helpful too. Many people find they write the same information down in it that is at home or the office, but they have it handy when they are on the go as well. This can be important if you travel a lot of for work.
Many people use the calendars on their personal computer, work computer, or their laptop to keep track of their appointments or commitments. They can easily print it out by the day, week, or month to make sure they don’t forget anything important. This format makes it very easy to change things on the calendar as they need to be added or deleted. If the time changed no problem just put in the correct one.
Some cell phones have calendars as well. You can enter information and then your phone will ring to remind you prior to the event. Most cell phones will flash the message on your screen to tell you what the reminder is about. I use this feature often as my children all get out of school early on Wednesdays. To help me remember I have a calendar alert for 30 minutes before the release time. On weeks when there is no school I can simply delete it.
You can find calendars in a variety of different formats as well. Some of them have large squares for writing and others have plenty of room on the sides of the dates where you can write down information. They also feature different pictures and designs so you can have a calendar with things that reflect your personal taste.
