Seeing the unique floats are a fun and exciting part of any parade. If you are considering building a parade float, you may feel overwhelmed. Nothing is more disappointed than completing your float than to discover it doesn’t meet the parade requirements so it can’t be entered. Special Olympics

Special Olympics is an non-profit organization offering individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition. The organization works very hard to encourage society to view those with disabilities in a positive manner. The organization began in 1968 to promote self-confidence and physical fitness in persons with disabilities.

Parade of Homes

A parade of homes is basically an open house to many homes in the area. Often these homes are for sale. The parade basically starts at one home, then progresses to each. A set amount of time is allowed at each home. The parade is generally hosted by a group of real estate agents in the area. Some are set to where you can visit the homes in an particular order between set hours. There is generally a ticket purchase required. Many parade of homes donate the proceeds to non-profit organizations.

Prison Pen Pals

Inmates who are incarcerated have a lot of extra time on their hands. They enjoy contact with the outside world, and often choose to be pen pals. Why would anyone want to be pen pals with an inmate? There are lonely people in this world that can easily be drawn in they their personality and quick response. Others want all inmates to have the opportunity to receive mail, so they do it to encourage them to change while incarcerated to the opportunity at a life again.

Bio Androids
