Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Clouds are fascinating and a permanent part of the sky. Some days show us the absence of clouds. On these days the sky is blue in the day and filled with stars at night. A cloudless sky has its own beauty. However, a sky that has clouds can also be interesting. Some of the clouds can appear during a sunny day and these are the ones that people can find interesting. Thunderstorms

Saturday, October 6th, 2007

Thunderstorms are a big part of the summer and even the spring and fall in certain parts of the country. However, they seem to be most common in the summer. Basically, thunderstorms are when a cold front and warm front interact and cause atmospheric changes. They often happen on a hot, steamy day when a colder front moves in. The changes that happen result in thunder, lightening, and rain. In some parts of the country and of the world thunderstorms are taken one step further. Printable Calendars

Saturday, October 6th, 2007

Printable calendars are those you print at home. You can get them from various websites or you can create you own using the right software program. There are many advantages to printable calendars. I always find the spaces on most calendars are too small for me as I write big. Then I can’t read what it says later! With printable calendars I can make the boxes for each date bigger in height and width so everything I write fits and is legible.

Flag Displays

Friday, September 28th, 2007

While types and colors of flags vary by country and organization, there are some universal rules for properly displaying flags. It is customary to only display the flag from sunrise to sundown. When flying a flag at half-mast, it should first be taken all the way to the top, and then slowly lowered to half-mast. This is usually done to represent a time of mourning, a death, war, or other similar issue. Flags in the United States were at half-mast after the terrorist attacks of 09/11.
