Prom Photography
Having photos from your prom is a great reminder of the magical evening. While there will be a photographer at your prom to take pictures, it is fun to take some of your own before, during, and after the event. Take some that are posed as well as candid shots. These photos will make a great gift to give your friends later.
Each prom will have a different photographer with different talents. Often they will have a background that goes with the theme of the dance to enhance your memories. The generally offer prom packages. You can purchase a package as a couple or individually. The number of poses you are allowed will vary based on the photographer and the amount of couples needing to get their pictures taken that evening.
While most photographers are legitimate, it is important that the prom committee takes the time to investigate the credentials of the photographer as well as they quality of his work. It would be a huge let down if the pictures never arrived or if they were of very poor quality. In addition, they should find out about pricing and packages offered. Having this information available prior to the prom can help parents and students make the decision of what to purchase. Some photographers also offer additional items such as key chains, magnets, and posters that you can purchase as well.
To make the best of your pictures, quickly look at your hair and makeup before you get in line. Make sure you dress is adjusted properly and no bra straps are showing. For the boys, make sure your tie is on straight and your hair is in place. If you are uncomfortable with the poses the photographer is asking you to make, let him know. You photos will look unnatural if you are not comfortable with the poses.
