Why it is a Challenge to Stop Smoking: Symptoms of Nicotine Withdrawal
Monday, July 30th, 2007Nicotine is a potentially addictive chemical that people often become dependent on through smoking cigarettes. In some studies, it has been found that nicotine can be as addictive as cocaine, and because there are so many health issues related to smoking, it can be just as dangerous to become dependent on. If you have tried to quit smoking in the past, and have been unable to succeed, it is probably because when you stop smoking, the symptoms are extremely uncomfortable and nearly impossible for some to live with. This is because of the effects of nicotine withdrawal on your body. However, if you continue to smoke, the damage that is done to your body will be much greater than the discomfort that is caused by nicotine withdrawal.
