The Relationship Between Cocoa Butter and Stretch Marks

When the skin stretches very quickly and does not have time to properly adjust, stretch marks are often the result. At first these stretch marks tend to show up as reddish or purplish colored lines, often squiggly in shape, which often appear indented. They usually appear on certain areas of the body where weight grows fastest, including the thighs, stomach, and breasts on females.

Women experience stretch marks much more often than men do, however if men gain a large amount of weight in a short amount of time they too are liable to get stretch marks.

It works by lubricating the skin and helping it to retain its natural elasticity and moisture, and also relives the dryness that is commonly associated with pregnancy as well.

Cocoa butter and stretch marks is one of the most commonly recommended and uses methods during pregnancy, and women are actually told to begin using the cocoa butter at the very beginning of their pregnancy, even long before the sight of any stretch marks. This is because the earlier you start using the cocoa butter the better off your skin is going to be, and therefore the less likely you are going to be to get stretch marks.

Besides the cocoa butter and stretch marks idea, there are also other things that you can do in order to try and prevent stretch marks, one being to use vitamin E. Simply massage it into your skin after your shower or bath, and let it soak in for a couple of minutes before getting dressed as usual.

If you are having serious problems with stretch marks and nothing seems to be working, then you can talk to your doctor about it, although there is usually nothing too dramatic that can be done about it. Some people’s skin is just more elastic than others, and so some are going to be unfortunate and get a lot of stretch marks. The good thing is that for the most part they tend to become lighter and fade over time, and so at least they will not be as noticeable if you do have them.
