Can you count how many electric devices you own? Chances are more than you realize. Most of us take electricity and the luxury of electric devices for granted. Some of the common electric devices found in a home include TV’s, DVD players, video game consoles, computers, hair dryers, electric ovens, microwaves, and electric heaters. The majority of us don’t stop to realize all the electric devices we use on a daily basis until we experience a lengthy power outage.

Electric Guitars

Talking about electric guitars reminds me of rock n roll bands, especially those from the 1980’s where electric guitar solos were very popular. You could bet money on it that at least one song from each album in that ear contained a ballad with an electric guitar solo.

Electric Heaters

Having enough heat for your home during the colder times of year is very important. It is also important that you can afford the heating source that you use. Electric heaters offer a very powerful source of heat that can quickly and efficiently heat up most any size of home. They are also more convenient than having to keep logs on the fire. In 1973, electric heaters saw a substantial increase in sales. This was due to the Energy Crisis that left consumers looking for a safe and affordable alternative to using oil or gas to heat their homes.

Electric Ovens

Electric ovens the most common type found in homes as people think the cook food evenly and they are easier to use then a gas stove. One downfall to an electric oven though is that it won’t work if your power goes out. Gas stoves have been in use much longer though as they were introduced in 1826. Electric ovens weren’t introduced until 1891.

Electric Shavers

The majority of men and women find shaving to be a time consuming chore, but one that they have to complete. Electric shavers can make the process more enjoyable as they leave the shaved area very smooth and you are less likely to cut or nick yourself with an electric shaver.
