Black women, entered into slavery, had no choice but to provide domestic services for others. They often were made to work in the fields and in the home. The days were long and hard for such women. In addition, many of these black women were sexually abused by their owners. It is important to remember that these maids did not receive any compensation for their work. They were brutally beaten if the work was not up to the owners requirements. They were often poorly feed, sleep in horrible conditions, and worked to the point of physical exhaustion.

Bank Security Guard

Have you ever wondered how much money goes in and out of a bank on a given day? Those armored trucks that pull up certainly seem to be bringing a substantial amount of money. To protect the delivery of these funds as well as the daily operations of a bank, security guards are generally on duty during all bank hours. This is to help prevent theft from occurring. Bank robberies still are attempted all the time, and many bank security guards have been injured or killed trying to prevent them from happening. This line of work is certainly one that comes with some risk.

Lifeguard Qualifications

Becoming a lifeguard involves completing the necessary training program required to obtain a certificate in your state. The individual has to be an excellent swimmer and have the ability to remain calm in crisis situations. Since many lifeguards are high school or college aged showing that you are very responsible it important.

Newspaper Reporters

Newspapers are generally published on a daily basis so the amount of activity taking place around the clock is one that resembles worker bees. Each person has a job to complete and the collaborated efforts result in a finished newspaper with quality materials. Newspaper reports are responsible for gathering and analyzing the information they find. The goal of any newspaper is to publish the facts of a story before their competition is able to do so.

If you plan to work as a midwife in another country the regulations are different so make sure you take that into consideration as well.

Maid Service

I often think my children and spouse see me as a 24 hour maid service. I am sure I am not the only person in my house that can see what needs to be cleaned up. Ironically, if I don’t do it or give instructions to someone else to do it, a particular mess can remain indefinitely. I have challenged this on many occasions by purposely avoiding cleaning up certain messes. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked. The end result is I give in and get it done. I have been known to give particular cleaning chores to my children for misbehaving.

Office security may be something that many employers don’t think is necessary, but in our society it is becoming more of a necessity than an option. In light of recent killings that have taken place due to disgruntled employees returning to the workplace, jilted lovers taking it out on the other person in pubic, and domestic violence issues that escalate to this level of violence office security is more important than ever.

Midwife

A midwife is a specialty type of nurse that helps a woman prepare for the birth of her child and assists with the delivery. This is common for women who want to have a home birth. In most cases a midwife provides the prenatal care for the mother in her home as well. If the pregnancy is considered high risk a doctor may recommend a midwife to the patient. This is because a midwife can provide more one on one attention.
