With the job market being tight in some areas, it is refreshing to see that there is still plenty of work to be found in this area. Regardless of where you live you can find reporter jobs in many different avenues. There is plenty of room to change your specialty when it comes to reporting and to climb the corporate ladder.

Lifeguard Training

If you enjoy spending time out in the sun and you are responsible, becoming a lifeguard could be a good way to spend your summer afternoons and make some spending money at the same time. First you need to successfully complete lifeguard training so that you have certification to be employed as s lifeguard. While the lifeguard training programs differ by facility they all have some common features ñ signs of a person in distress, rescue methods, and CPR.

There is a variety of equipment that a lifeguard has to be skilled in using. Most lifeguards have a whistle so they can single for individuals to stop the behaviors they are engaging in, to signal for swimmers to clear out from the swimming area, and to call other lifeguards for assistance.

Midwifery Jobs

If you have a background in nursing and obstetrics then you may be considering working as a midwife. This can be a very rewarding job. It involves working very closely with pregnant women and their families. A midwife is responsible for prenatal care, answering questions, the delivery, and in many cases post partum care for the mom and the newborn.

A custom tailor is one that works with individuals to make the clothing they want that fits their body exactly the way it should. This can definitely take the frustration out of trying on clothing you like only to find it doesn’t fit well or it doesn’t compliment your body at all. Custom tailors generally make suits and shirts but it many of them also are willing to make dresses and other pieces of clothing if you ask them.

Police Security

Police officers put their life on the line every day to provide use with the safety each of us wants. They are in place to serve and protect the public at all costs. This means putting their life on the line to apprehend suspects and to be prepared in any situation for the worst. Many of us wonder why the police officer is so intimidating when we get pulled over for speeding. The truth is that the officer doesn’t know if you will be reaching for your vehicle registration or for a gun in your glove box. With this in mind they aren’t going to take any chances.

Lifeguards

Being a lifeguard is mostly enjoying the sun as you watch other people swimming, but in those critical moments when a swimmer appears to be in trouble the lifeguard on duty has an obligation to do all they can to save the individual. That is a huge responsibility and one that should not be taken lightly. Yet we have all seen the cute lifeguard at the pool who is easily distracted by the attention of a pretty girl walking by.

Midwifery Training

Becoming a licensed midwife requires you to complete a training program. This can be at a midwifery school, online, or in some instances though an on the job training internship program. In addition to having a license with a background in nursing, midwives have to complete training in the various aspects of prenatal care, childbirth, post partum issues, and the various situations that can arise during any given pregnancy. The length of the training program depends on the facility that you take it through and the requirements of the program.
