Bush Impersonators
President George W. Bush has definitely found himself at the center of many controversies during his Presidency. He is often made fun of on late night talk shows and any blunders or errors he makes are quickly printed by the press. Bush impersonators have become quite popular in the last couple of years.
George W. Bush does take the issue quite well though. He appeared at a White House Correspondent Dinner in 2006 with an impersonator at his side. The two shared the stage and those in attendance were quite amazed at how much this impersonator looked and sounded like Bush. The impersonator was even able to stand the same way and use the same facial expressions and hand gestures as he spoke.
Many Bush impersonators aren’t looking to repeat his political promises or recite his speeches since he took over the office of President. They are willing to provide some light humor and entertainment. You can ask a Bush impersonator to come to your office party or even a birthday party for a unique twist that will have everyone talking long after the party is over. There are many different dialogues that Bush impersonators use so there are several options depending on the type of party you are hosting and who your guests are.
Many people are upset over Bush impersonators, feeling that the President of the United States should be shown more respect. They also feel it shows other countries that our Presidency is a joke. However, almost every President before Bush has been impersonated and it really has never been quite an issue. Yet the increased use of the internet allows videos of Bush impersonators to be shown on popular sites including www.youtube.com.
In my opinion, if George W. Bush himself can laugh over the impersonations and even invite one of the men doing it to address a White House Dinner with him then the rest of the world needs to not take the issue very seriously either. The United States takes pride in allowing citizens to have freedom of speech and that is apparent in the fact that so many feel free to impersonate Bush as well as enjoy the show.
