Snooker is a sport that is played on a 12ft X 6ft table, similar to our pool tables in the United States, with some variations. There is a cue ball, but instead of the 15 multi-colored balls there are 21 balls. 15 are red, and 1 each of yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black. Each ball has a point value. Red balls are worth 1 point, the yellow is 2, green is 3, brown is 4, blue is 5, pink is 6, and the black ball is worth the most at 7 points.

Online Snooker

Snooker is a billiard game very similar to pool. However, there are only 4 colors of balls. Each color of ball has a certain amount of points associated with it. You collect points each time you sink a ball. Obviously, the goal is to sink the higher point balls first to get an edge on the competition.

They come in full size tables, 1/2 size tables, table top games, computer games, and hand held games. The Snooker Table

The snooker table is 6 feet by 12 feet, similar to our United States pool tables with the six pockets. At 1 end of the table there is a semicircle line which does from one long side to the other long side across the table. The back of the table is called the top cushion.

World Snooker

Snooker, a game similar to pool, is played throughout the world. The snooker world championship started in 1916. Joe Davis is credited for organizing the event. The game continued to be very popular until the late 1950’s. In 1958, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association decided that due to lack of interest in the game, a tournament would not be held that year. As a result, there was not a world championship game from 1958 to 1963.
