You can also decide to start your own Astronomy club without putting too much effort into it. Since you will be using the open outdoors to view the scenery you don’t need to worry about paying for the use of a meeting room. Of course many Astronomy clubs decide to meet for dinner before they view the sites or afterwards to discuss what they saw. You can set it up for each Astronomy club member to host it on a different evening so that the expenses are shared. You can even decide to have a pot luck meal served so that everyone plays a significant role each time you meet.

Find out if your local college has an Astronomy program because they can let people know about it. They may already have an Astronomy club on campus for students and they can partner with you.

The internet allows you to get the word out to people as well. You can easily set up a website for your Astronomy club or even a blog to let people find out about it. Being part of an Astronomy club allows you to share your passionate interest with others while learning more about it as well.
