Endangered Species
Endangered species are those that are at risk for being completely eliminated from the face of the Earth. This includes both plant and animal life from regions all over the world. The causes of it are numerous requiring humans from all walks of life to be educated on what they can do to help protect these animals. It is a universal problem that can be helped by the individual choices and decisions of each of us.
As more people are on Earth the amount of space they need to be comfortable continues to grow. So does the desire of these people to have the necessities and luxuries they want to be comfortable. As a result areas where animals live are being cleared away to make room for people. Rainforests are continually being demolished to use the supplies for items people consume. These actions leave less and less room for the animals to use for their own residence and to find the supply of food and water they need to survive.
In addition the amount of pollution caused by industrialization and the abundance of people in the world takes its toll of animals. When the rivers, streams, and oceans are polluted it affects their natural habitat. Many people remember the Exxon oil spill that killed so many animals in the ocean years ago. Unfortunately this type of death takes place each day out there but it isn’t as widely publicized.
It is important to protect the needs of endangered species. The effects of them disappearing from the Earth will have a profound effect. You may not realize the contributions these animals make to the overall balance of our environment. The medicine properties we are able to get from many plants are something we don’t want to lose. There are plenty of plants that have not yet been fully tested for their value. What if one of them holds the cure for cancer?
You can help protect endangered animals by respecting their land. Be conscious of the items you consume. Where do they come from? What types of materials are needed for them? If the demand for such items that cause destruction to land for animal’s demishes they destruction of it will decrease.
