Federal Firearms License

Obtaining your Federal firearms license is required by any individual who deals with the manufacturing or selling of firearms or ammunition. This includes pawn shops. The one exception is regarding those who trade and sell guns for private collections. This is mandated under the Gun Control Act of 1986. Anyone dealing in such activities without a license can be charged with illegal firearm activities, which is a felony under Federal Law. Be wary of online scams that offer you a Federal firearms license kit. They will generally just take your money, and then provide you with information on how to obtain the license.
