Gender Differences
Much thought and consideration has been given to the subject of gender differences. The question is, which of these differences are biological and which are the results of the society that you live in? That is a question that people have been trying to answer for some time. As a result of these questions there are a lot of things that can be done to study them and there are plenty of researchers out there who are devoted to the cause.
Some gender differences are obvious. For example, certain parts of the anatomy are a way to clearly determine if the person is a male or a female. However, there are some people who are actually born with aspects of both male and female. This is not very common and is the result of the way the fetus is formed as well as the genetic makeup. However, there are certainly people out there who are born either male or female and then they decide they do not want to hold on to the gender they are born with and have an operation to change that.
There are some gender differences that are not as obvious, however. These have to do with the very way that the brain and insides are formed. For example, women who have children have a lot more synapses, or nerve endings, than men do. Did you ever notice that women are better multitaskers? The synapses are a big part of why this is so. However, as the women get older, their synapses die off a lot quicker than the men’s which makes them more equal. There are other differences as well that researchers have studied and most of them have to do with the way the brain works.
However it is important to separate the myth from the reality. Which are the gender differences and which are the myths? A quick search on the internet can reveal a lot of information. You can also read the studies that have been put out by researchers and read books on the subject. Some of them are created by the society, others are created by their unique makeup. It is up to you to find the information that will help you determine which is which.
