Staying Germ Free
Staying germ free is easier said than done. With so many types of germs out there, it is impossible to prevent them all from finding you. However, you can help minimize the effects of these germs. Washing your hands regularly with a mild soap several times throughout the day will be very beneficial. Germs can linger on doorknobs and other surfaces, so it is wise to wipe them down with soap and water or Lysol on a regular basis.
It is recommended that if you discover an out break of flu or the common cold in your area, where a respiratory mask. These are the same masks worn in surgery. The will prevent germs from entering your nasal passages. To take it a step further, it is suggested those who are ill wear a mask to further reduce the spread of germs to others.
Getting plenty of sleep, eating a balanced diet, and taking multivitamins all help keep you germ free. While you may still be targeted by germs, your immune system will have a better chance of fighting them off if you are taking care of yourself.
Flu shots are another helpful way to ward off germs. It generally takes two weeks after receiving the shot before it is effective. HEPA air filters help remove particles from the air, further reducing the amount of germs floating around. Airborne, created by a school teacher, is to be taken at the first sign of a cold or the flu. It is a dietary supplement that has not yet been proven to be effective.
