Geothermal Power
Sunday, November 4th, 2007Geothermal power is basically the use of a natural heat source to generate electricity. This includes geysers. For example, there are places in Iceland where people are using the geysers to generate electricity. This is a very interesting process and the fact that there are people out there who want to use alternative forms of fuel is a very good thing. We live in a world where the price of fossil fuels has gotten to be really expensive. It is a nonrenewable resource which means that once all the oils is gone, it is gone forever. This is not true with sources of power such as the wind and a heat source. These will always be in existence. Sure, the particular geyser that generates the power in a certain area may dry up, but there will always be some other way to get energy. For example, the sun will always be there so solar power could be a good option as well.
