Christmas Trees

One of the most common symbols of the Christmas season is the Christmas tree. Many families have a tradition of going out in search of the perfect Christmas tree for their home. They can be found at Christmas tree lots all over town or the family can choose to go cut down their own from approved woodland areas. Caring for a live Christmas tree means making sure it has sufficient water. They can also be a fire hazard so they have to be carefully monitored.

Oak Trees

There are hundreds of species of oak trees that can be identified in most regions of the world. The are commonly misidentified as other types of trees but you can tell an oak tree by the design of the leaves which are serrated and smooth. The size and shape of each leave of an oak tree takes on a uniqueness that can’t be duplicated. These leaves are shed annually in the fall. Before they fall of though the leaves take on beautiful colors of reds, greens, yellows, and oranges.

Palm Trees

When you think of palm trees you likely think of a warm beach area such as Florida. They grow well in tropical locations and display very long, green leaves at the top of a tall and skinny trunk. They are a common type of tree used for landscaping in warm areas. In addition to Florida you will find a vast amount of palm trees located in Africa, Columbia, and France.

Trees

There are many different kinds of trees in this world, some of them real and others artificial for beauty or as a symbol of something. Trees serve many purposes for use though other than just landscaping and providing us with a tree for celebrating Christmas. Trees help to protect the ozone layer as well as offer plenty of shade on those hot summer afternoons. The process of photosynthesis takes place through the trees and this is what results in us having plenty of oxygen to breath. They also reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that is found in the air.

Willow Trees

There are more than 300 species of willow trees found throughout the world. They are beautiful masses of green leaves. While the branches are very slender the truck of a willow tree is very wide and sturdy. These trees grow to be hundreds of years old if they are not bothered by human interactions. Depending on the type of willow tree it is, there can be beautiful flowers that grow on them or various fruits.
