History of Vacuum Cleaners

It is believed by many that in 1965 the ‘Whirlwind’ became the first hand powered cleaner using basic vacuum principles. Then a powered vacuum machine was developed by H. Cecil Booth in 1901. It is said that Mr. Booth once noticed a device being used to blow debris and dust off of chairs and was inspired to come up with a device that would suck the dust off surfaces instead.

I did a Google search for an upright vacuum for use in motel and found 156,000 results. The top result was for the Sanitaire Commercial Upright Vacuum in red and gray. This model is UL listed and ideal for hotel and motel use. This upright vacuum can be purchased online for roughly $130, including the shipping charge.

When I searched for a bagless vacuum on the eBay site eBay Stores, 167 eBay stores came up. The store with the most matching items was Premier Appliance One. The 65 items found for bagless vacuum in All Categories were almost all Hoover and Eureka models.
