Christmas Lights Create A Holiday Celebration

One of the most beautiful images during the Christmas holiday is the many Christmas light displays that line the streets and neighborhoods of towns and cities all across America. For many, planning ahead for the holiday Christmas lights display is a yearlong event, often going to the extreme. While there are many famous moments in television and movies that highlight the use of Christmas lights, none are as famous as Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation as he plans and executes his Christmas lights decorations in his front yard. The name Griswold, the characters last name, is now a common slang term to use when referring to someone that uses Christmas lights to excess when decorating for the holidays.
