Celebrating With The Easter Bunny
When most people think of the Easter holiday, a lot of times the vision or thought of the easter bunny comes to mind. All over this idea of the easter bunny bringing small children candy, colored eggs, and even small gifts has become the way people celebrate the Easter holiday. While there are still a lot of people who have religious customs during that time of year, the Easter is starting to be more and more commercialized. More then ever the candy and the easter bunny costume is becoming more and more popular during that time of year, which is, always spring.
But the idea of the easter bunny confuses a lot of people when they do not understand where the concept of the easter bunny came from. Depending on who you talk to, you are more in likely going to get some religious reference as the answer to your question. Most times though that answer will still be different. While there are theories on where the idea of the easter bunny came about, there is no absolute proof on where it all originated. The idea though is to figure out what you believe, if any of it and continue to have fun with the Easter holiday.
How Far It Has Spread
A few years back, you would simply find the easter bunny in the mall and maybe imprinted on some chocolate. But now, after commercialization has set in, the easter bunny has his or her face plastered on just about everything during the spring season. The easter bunny can now be spotted on greeting cards, wrapping paper, candy, cookies, toys, and in many different television commercials. When it comes down to it, the easter bunny is probably the most recognized symbol for the Easter holiday.
While it is okay to have fun with the concept of the easter bunny, there are a lot of people who find it disturbing that the true meaning of Easter seems to have been lost. The problem with that though is that the meaning of Easter is different for everybody. The point of it all is to determine what the holiday means to you, if anything, and then focus your celebrations on that. Not everyone has to agree on the point of it as long as everyone is able to enjoy their holiday in their own way. Find what it means to you and your family and you will do just fine with it all.
