Rugby Club
Rugby clubs have been formed in many countries; with several of them have a very long history. The first Rugby club was established in 1863 called the Barnes club. This Rugby club is known for helping get the official rules for game play established as well as encouraging players to join the sport.
Close behind the Barnes club is the Dublin University club that was established in 1864. This club has many members and it continues to be a very strong Rugby club that promotes the game, advocates for players, and initiates community service projects.
There are now thousands of Rugby clubs all over the world that one can become a part of. Most of them are associated with particular schools or affiliate programs. You can find out what Rugby clubs are available in your area by contacting your school, the International Rugby Foundation, or searching the internet. This is also a great way to find out about the various procedures and requirements for joining a particular rugby club.
You will find many Rugby clubs are simply divided up by region. This allows those who want to be a member of a Rugby club something local to participate in. However, many of the regional groups are part of a bigger, National organization. This means that you may belong to a regional Ruby club chapter but actually be part of a National Rugby club.
