Soccer is a team sport that is usually called football in most countries around the world. In the United States, this game is called soccer. The game is a favorite played by two teams with eleven players on each side. There are probably more people of all ages playing soccer than any other sport in the world. The game is played with minimum equipment which makes it portable to many different venues. The soccer fields for the professional players are usually in large stadiums that hold thousands of fans. The great soccer players are phenomenal athletes, and their movements on the field often mesmerize people in the stadiums and viewers watching on television. These players are great runners with stamina to continue running almost constantly during the course of a match. There seems to be some evidence that the history of soccer begins in China where it is still played with enthusiasm. Even during the ancient Roman Empire there is evidence that a game resembling modern soccer was played. The history of soccer is related to a game that was played in Europe many hundreds of years ago. When you play soccer, or any sport, you must ensure that you’re wearing the proper footwear so that you don’t injure yourself. Now, if you’re playing in gym class, or in a situation where you’re on a hardwood surface, any non slip gym shoe will do. However, soccer shoes are meant to be played on a grassy field. That means they have to be specially made not to slip on the grass so that the player doesn’t get injured. For that reason, soccer shoes are made with cleats, or pointy metal barbs on the bottom, that are designed to dig into the grass, thus giving the player speed but they also prevent the player from slipping so that they don’t get injured. When playing with cleats, though, you need to be careful that you don’t injure other players. With all that kicking at the ball, injuries can happen but with certain precautions you can play safely and have fun.

You’ve gathered all your friends and you want to start a soccer game but you don’t have any soccer fields nearby. Should you find another game to play? Absolutely not. You can play soccer on any patch of land, all you need is a few markers and a little imagination. The lines and professional looking goals you see on real soccer fields are good for real competitive games because referees need them to make accurate calls. However, when you get together with your friends, you don’t have a referee so you don’t need all of the elaborate lines and goals because it’s merely a fun, friendly game that’s not to be taken that seriously.

Scoring a goal in soccer may seem like an easy task, as the nets that comprise them are typically very large. However, anyone who has ever watched a soccer game on TV knows that game scores are typically very low, with winning teams scoring only one or two goals in an entire game. So, if they are so large, what makes scoring a soccer goal so difficult? It’s not the size of the goal that makes the task so hard, it’s the skill of the players on the opposing team whose job it is to prevent the ball from going into the goal’s net that prevents scores from reaching into double digits. To score a soccer goal takes not only skill but it also takes teamwork and a keen knowledge on how to play the game.
