Tennis Clubs are organized for so many reasons. Each association has definite missions and goals to pursue worthwhile cause, or to assist the interests of citizens who are appreciative of the game, as well as enthusiasts. With the numerous Table Tennis Associations around the world, opening of different Table Tennis clubs rise, aimed at increasing members to carry bigger projects contributory to global missions like promoting world peace, or plights to suspend the reinforced terrorism.
Universities in their High School levels are girding to have tournament sessions. Clubs are open three weak-days on evenings during seasons, reduced in months of April to June, and summer breaks on months of July to August. The English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) took an initiative step to talk with the organizers of the Stowmarket Table Tennis Club to pilot on a Study Grant Scheme.
The idea follows after the ETTA was granted an award by the Department for Education and Employment as a participating body for Study Support Scheme and small grants as part of their program.
The essence of the Study Support is to encourage young people to enter in voluntary activities other than their concerns in curricular school studies. The youth will be given chances to enhance his talents, motivations in achievements to certain fields of learning of interest, and different skills, in photography and editing, graphic arts, designing, archeology, and website designing and development. It objects to let the youth take part in extra curricular activities, for future leaders in the making, physical fitness, personality developments, and good sport.
Successful 150 applicants from the national category passed, and a rare 12 came up from among in the ETTA, all having to do on Table Tennis and related sports. The ETTA scheme, "Learning thru Table Tennis" establishing a link of the Stowmarket Table Tennis Club, Stowupland High and Bacton Middle School, in a vision to develop schools that sustains, equipped with the latest innovations attainable today. With the idea that Table Tennis will be used as medium; To develop the youth physically, to learn in social interacting, fusing school curricular studies with sports activities leads to leadership potentials, and adding input to learning new skills in "table tennis."
Bottom line: Producing young skilled people as worthwhile citizens, confidence resulting to higher "self esteem," and enhanced positive attitude to studies will result to successful relationships between the schools an the Table Tennis Club. Well-developed individuals will be given the opportunity to get a slot in membership with the Stowmarket Club, giving them to take part in lifelong wholesome activities in table tennis.
