Dictaphones are old recording devices that were used to capture and play back speech. At the time, these were quite the marvel of technology and it made many people’s lives a lot easier. Dictaphones were a way for people to speak and then that speech would be preserved. The individual could then play it back whenever they wanted or type out the speech or whatever it was at their leisure. Of course, Dictaphones could also be used for recreational purposes and not just for business pursuits.

Digital Dictaphones

Digital Dictaphones are the products that the company is currently selling. When the company first began in 1923 it sold a form of Edison’s original recording device invention. The company Edison and Tainter started changed hands a few times and then the Dictaphone company ended up acquiring it. But times change and the original invention has long since gone obsolete. The company, however, is still around. They currently sell digital Dictaphones.

Wurlitzer Jukebox

The Wurlitzer jukebox was introduced in 1933 and continued to be manufactured until 1987. Each jukebox manufactured had a unique name rather than being called a jukebox. The Wurlitzer Company has been in the music business since 1856. They were one of the first companies who began making jukeboxes, known then as coin operated phonographs. The decision was made to stop making them in 1987 do to the digital jukeboxes that were emerging and being used.

ATMs are an important part of our culture because they allow us instant access to our cash twenty-four hours a day. It used to be that when we wanted to withdraw some money, we had to take a special trip to the bank. This easy-access that ATMs bring can be a blessing, especially for those who work or have odd hours. Sometimes it just is not feasible to make it to the bank during standard operating times.
