The Sphinx, also called The Great Sphinx of Giza, is a traditional statue left over form Ancient Egypt. Amazingly enough, it is still standing and is now a popular destination for people who want to see it. Tourists, historians, and other people visit the area so they can catch a glimpse of the Sphinx. Basically, this statue depicts something that is not quite a lion, not quite a ram, and is actually a myth, not a real animal. However, there is currently a modern cat breed called a sphinx.

If you want to visit The Great Sphinx of Giza there are a few things you can do. First, you need to understand why you want to visit so you can plan your trip accordingly. Do you want to learn more about it? Do you just want to see it? Do you want to study it? Determining your goals will help you understand what the best approach is. Ancient myths and legends are portrayed on the screen as tales of booby trapped pyramids capture the adventurous spirit of those who watch those movies. No matter which way you tend to look at it, Egypt is a nation filled with fascination.

The Egypt pyramids are fascinating on a variety of levels. The first is that they are an ancient reminder of a time that was much different than ours today. It is interesting to think that things that were built thousands of years ago are still standing today. The pyramids are something that attracts all kinds of people from thieves who want to profit from some of the treasures contained in them and people who are interested in the history and religious and cultural significance.

The Nile River is the one that is near Egypt. It has a place in the Egyptian history and folk lore. In a lot of ways, the river was just as important to the culture as the culture was to it. The Nile River originates somewhere in Africa and it empties into the Mediterranean Sea. This is a river that is very important to the continent because it provides them with a water supply and other important functions. Rivers are highly desirable, especially if the country that it goes through is in need of some water.
