The Sphinx, also called The Great Sphinx of Giza, is a traditional statue left over form Ancient Egypt. Amazingly enough, it is still standing and is now a popular destination for people who want to see it. Tourists, historians, and other people visit the area so they can catch a glimpse of the Sphinx. Basically, this statue depicts something that is not quite a lion, not quite a ram, and is actually a myth, not a real animal. However, there is currently a modern cat breed called a sphinx.
If you want to visit The Great Sphinx of Giza there are a few things you can do. First, you need to understand why you want to visit so you can plan your trip accordingly. Do you want to learn more about it? Do you just want to see it? Do you want to study it? Determining your goals will help you understand what the best approach is.
