Fingerpainting is one of those messy crafts that a lot of kids enjoy. It allows them to be creative and also get their hands dirty. Kids also love to be messy. But parents appreciate that finger painting is messy enough to keep their children interested but not so messy that it gets everywhere. However, a lot can happen when you turn your head. You look and suddenly there is paint on your child’s eyelid, on their clothes, and even on the wall. You need to get it out, but they made such a mess it could be overwhelming.
If your child gets fingerpaint on his or her skin or in the hair then a simple shower using a powerful soap and a washcloth or a sponge are really good things. The same is true if you got it on yourself. To prevent there from being a real mess make sure that you buy waterproof paint. That is one of the secrets of easy cleanup because with water it just rinses out. Supposedly it comes out of clothes, but that may not be the case.
Once you determine that the paint is off your skin it is time to clean the surface. Even though people make cleaning messes up look easy, you don’t find it to be that way. It is an orderly lifestyle that is sometimes disrupted but it is possible to wash away the finger paint with simple things like warm water, bleach, vinegar, and even heavy duty cleanser for the counters and glass services. It is a recyclable container.
Another thing that makes cleaning fingerpaint is important, not just the obvious areas because fingerpaint can get everywhere especially if your kids are energetic. Children tend to touch almost everything and even saying, ‘Don’t touch’ will not get a response. The paint can go everywhere when they touch things.
Cleaning fingerpaint does not need to be that difficult. The most important thing to do is to follow the package instructions. And then, you can get to work cleaning up. Some may recommend hot water and soap. Other times may call for a less floral soap. Otherwise, it is important that everyone cleans because there is no excuse for living in filfth.
