How To Do A Neat Playing Card Magic Trick

If you are interested in learning how to do a playing card magic trick, then here is a great one for you to learn how to do.

A Spectacular Playing Card Magic Trick

For this first playing card magic trick you are going to need 21 different cards. Lay them out in front of your audience in 3 rows and then let a volunteer from the audience pick a card in and tell you what row it is in. You will do this 3 times before you feel the volunteer what their card was. The secret here is in laying out the cards, 3 across and 7 down. When someone thinks of a card and tells you what row it is in you only pick up the row that the card is second in. Then you can lay out the cards again in the exact same way: 3 across and 7 down. Ask the volunteer where they think that the card is in now. Then pick up the rows again, making sure that you pick up the row that the card is in second. Here you want to make sure that row was in the middle of the deck

If you want to make this playing card magic trick more difficult you can lay down 3 columns of 7 cards before allowing an audience member picks a card. You will want to randomly take each column and lay them down so that there are 2 columns with 2 cards, and 1 column with 3 cards All you have to do is remember the cards in the column they choose and lay them out in that way again.

If you want an alternative ending to this playing card magic trick you can do everything up to the third layout. Simply continue to put rows together with the selected row in the center. You can then place the cards into 5 groups with 4 or 5 cards in each group. When your audience member picks 2 groups you will want to take away those groups unless the selected card is in that group. You will want to do this until you only have 1 remaining group, which contains the selected card. Lay these cards out side by side and face down. Ask the person to select 2 cards and if they pick 2 and one of these is the selected cards, remove the other cards leaving those 2. Allow them to pick 1 card and if they pick the selected card remove the other or vise versa so that the remaining card will always be the selected card.
